If you've been paying attention to Apple long enough, you realize that most non-Gruber analysts trying to paint them as not much different than a Samsung don't understand the company has taste (the ghost of Jobs). They make mistakes (TouchBar, Studio Display camera), but not that often.

Unless they’ve secretly made some material step change improvements, the core tech doesn't seem to be here yet though. 

At least not at a consumer mass market level like that iPhone was at release.
