I’m bullish on trading off cryptographic security for cryptoeconomic in zk.

You guys have no idea how excited I am about AlignedLayer. It really opens up a lot more possibilities in ZKPs on-chain. Cheap verification is just the tip of the iceberg.

The common points of all these proofs is that they are posted on-chain. That's expensive.

the basic problem statement is correct though

onchain proof verification (esp for STARKs) is a current bottleneck

let’s see how the math shakes out though once activity picks up. the semi-fixed costs of proof verification should somewhat solve themselves

but rn pre-surge, it is high yes
