I’ve been writing online since 1997. I’m guessing 99.999% of that is gone I forgot to archive, got distracted & didn’t update some server or moved files from one platform to another and things just got… lost or corrupted. I think /arweave might unlock this level up. Here for the permanent human archive.

I don't want to rain on your parade but you may just want to have the discipline to organise your content and have a backup. I am committing my content for years into a git repo which is entirely web2. No tech will save you if you don't use it or use it wrong.

I understand where you’re coming from and I respect that. Though it’s more that I didn’t understand the complexity of being pulled into an ecosystem that I’d have to keep paying for hosting fees, etc. and then eventually have to transfer all of that information somewhere. I didn’t set myself up for success

Your idea about using a git repo is brilliant I never in my life would’ve thought of that

It is a little bit like "not your keys not your crypto". I know that non-technical people struggle with git but the tools have become better so that you do not have to use a terminal at all. With github you always have two copies. Here is the link to my repo if you are interested. https://github.com/xh3b4sd/content
