Open editions are meant to be gifted, as much as minted. Send to friend (incl. via text or email claim) is a missing feature for the adoption of media NFTs.

It's really easy for businesses to offer NFT gifts via Souvie (Tez, Kukai wallet sign in with Gmail) or Bitmark (Tez or Eth, Autonomy wallet) Just scan a QR code Only a matter of time before it goes from enterprise tech to consumer tech

If open editions were also infused with some generative elements, I could see your point in conjunction with a pretty fun shared collecting experience.

Agree strongly. We also have to contend with the term “NFT” being poisoned in public perception. I offered a friend a free NFT and a quick onboarding walkthrough. Conversation derailed instantly because he brought up BAYC as an example of why he thinks NFTs are stupid.
