then you take a lil of the money and bury it and then let another founder find a lil bit of it as proof that treasure is nearby. Then sell them wood and a license to search the area. Then retire.

Now, after you retire, you become mayor of the town in that area and start charging taxes, continuously marketing that all other searches for treasure are fake. Then you pivot to “there was no treasure anyways” and become a tourist destination for the myth of the treasure.
