if people very steeped in art say "sorry, that is not art" you should pay attention, because it is triggering enough that it made them defensive imo, art is about intent (did the creator make this to try and make someone feel something?) it is not about reception

Artists make art from their emotions. Collectors collect art based on their own emotion. Making and selling and buying are three very different mindsets 😅
