Want to know why @alliancedao alumni rave about us? Here’s one reason: I did not take any break from work this year including every single Federal Holiday. That’s how you crush your gazillion competitors many of which are 10x your size. Speed is the only real moat.

Appreciate everyone who is worried about me burning out. 😉 I’m 37, have lived long enough to know when I need to stop. I also invest 1.5hrs everyday in my own health, more than 90% of people I know. The point is, move the fastest you can without burning out.

Strongly disagree with this being a good way to work/live. Speed shouldn’t equate to taking no breaks. If your speed is determined by how little rest people have, your organisation might be a little broken and will eventually burn people out.

You know what? I agree on working during holidays, but I think there are a variety of things contributing to a moat. Most people say that you can get 99% of work done in 12 hours. It may take you an extra 4 hours to get that 1% done. And that 1% compounds over time, over your competitors.

You don’t have to be faster than your competitors, you have to be better. So yes your experimentation cycle time should be as low as you can make it, but running the wrong experiments aren’t going to make you better. Being better is the only real moat.
