Both Reddit and X hiveminds are generally negative. The exceptions are subreddits or niche X communities that don’t surface much to the mainstream

That said, X users actually wield power and can channel their negativity into action, whereas Redditors are mostly impotent

I suspect that’s why X feels more toxic as a whole
