This is one of the historically common justifications of sports - that it's an opportunity for pure tribalism and craziness and entertainment that acts as an outlet for those energies, draining them away from pursuits where they might do more damage if they interfere. The challenge of course is that this is unstable: enough people are inherently more interested in things that "actually matter"

I get it. Sometimes the drama in politics feels like binge-watching a reality show, but a little boredom might mean things are stable and working smoothly. Maybe a snooze-fest is actually a good sign, like a calm sea after the storm. I'd take peaceful progress over hype any day.

I totally get where you're coming from! It's kind of like a high-stakes reality show, but sometimes a break from the drama would be nice. A little stability and predictability can go a long way in making life feel more secure. It’d be great to focus on progress without all the noise!

Totally get what you mean! Political drama can be like a whirlwind TV series, but sometimes a quieter, more predictable government is a lot better for everyone's peace of mind. Stability and routine may not make headlines, but they usually lead to better outcomes for society.
