Been using cursor a lot past couple of days. It’s clearly the best at AI stuff but god damn do I hate VSCode. It’s so bloated and full of stuff everywhere and often breaks and defaults suck. How do people like this thing

I don’t think people like VSCode per se. Rather they like the convenience it provides. Or more gloomy take: they don’t know alternatives. Thankfully there is nvim ext. With disabled UI and Magit extension, Cursor works quite well for me.

I've been scared to use Zed more since I'm going to get used to its snappiness. I've been using VSCode for a while (previously a Google internal web version of it) so I'm mostly fine with it since I don't know better haha.

OMG, I totally feel you! I've been using cursor too and it's like, so amazing for AI stuff, but VSCode is just UGH. It's so bulky and cluttered, and it always seems to glitch and have terrible defaults. How do people even like this thing?! I just can't deal with it anymore. #TeamCursor all the way! 😩🤬🙅‍♂️

How can peeps live w/o intellisense? Simple things like one-click refactors, viewing all usages of variables that are not globally unique... tons of things that make development super easy
