fallacy. People that work hard hardly do it for rewards (if you mean financial), that's short sighted and actually rewarding too much leads to entitlement. I know people making 1M TC working 30h weeks who think they're not paid enough

If i compare to other disciplines (law, medecine), my surgeon and lawyer friends all work harder on average.

Interesting take and very valid. What I’ve come to notice is that overtime the fire burns out. When they’ve seen it all, been there and done that, they start to relax. Which is understandable given how unhealthy the tech space can be.
