Being more "normal" is good, but personally I have this already: IRL, group chats, instagram, etc. My social circle doesn't care about tech or crypto. Farcaster is interesting to me for this reason. I'm excited to share stuff about crypto and what I'm working on because the enthusiasm is reciprocated here.

I love Farcaster for those same reasons - I'm here primarily because I'm building (and I'm interested in what others are building) in tech & crypto the issue isn't discussing that stuff, I take that for granted. its that *how* we talk about crypto & tech has infected how we post about the most mundane things. people talking about an evening stroll only in relation to how it makes their startup's meetings more productive is simply boring, cringe and alienating. it siloes us off from the thinking & feeling public who don't seek to optimize every facet of their experience I guess if we're okay with Farcaster being just for tech & crypto employees then its chill

The crypto community is highly self-referential.
