what's been (or continues to be) Dan/Varun's biggest mistake with Farcaster or Warpcast?

building /cabin, advising /clanker and /farcon | grin.io

The barrier to adoption is still way too high. I don’t know what the solution would be, but you need a lot of Ethereum knowledge to get onboarded.

I think the same level of onboarding difficulty as the Coinbase or Binance would help solve this bottleneck. Maybe something with embedded wallets?
