silhouettes in the distance, a quiet reflection of love shared - a moment suspended in blue, with my parents seeing a world beyond their own for the first time.

it meant the world to me to be able to take my parents to moraine lake. we were so lucky to score tickets because it was the last day of 2024 before the lake closes for winter. i got to show them the "why" behind what makes me happy and quiets my mind that's so overwhelmed all the time and why i needed this for my life. 

quietly hoping they understand a little better of why i had to move away from home and it wasn't because i didn't feel loved.

took this selfie a few hours after i shot 'adrift in blue'. 

i barely have any photos with my parents, but i made sure i took as many as i could during this trip. i wish i could show their happy faces too, bc moments before this all three of us were laughing out loud at how our noses were SO red from the cold. 😆

Ugh, amazing. I just spent a few days with my family as well. My dad called me after I left and was like “it’s too quiet here now” jokingly which is his way of saying “I miss you” 😁
