I was literally the opposite as a kid - I would get into such deep hyperfocus reading that my parents couldn’t even get me to lay down the book for meals - the countless food stains on my old books are evidence 😂

classic example of everything being a spectrum, eh. i wish, i really really wish i was into reading like that. i always felt so dumb growing up for not being able to focus long enough to read a paragraph + understand it too. my mom and brother read a lot and i'd feel left out. oh well.

To be fair, I can only stay engaged if it’s a novel. Ideally easy to read YA novel lol. And then my impatient tend to jump to the last sentence of a paragraph to make everything more efficient ðŸ˜. Can you stay engaged at all if the topic is super interesting to you? Or maybe white/brown noise could help?
