incentivizing people to mint your art in exchange for $DEGEN tip thereby increasing your allowance & doing this on repeat ain’t it. you are either preying on people who need money or incentivizing people who only care about money. not sure what sort of power trip people are getting out of this. disappointing to see.

Someone (I can’t remember who) recently described the DEGEN tipping allowance as free marketing funds for artists. It helps get eyes on art that would otherwise go unseen. In some ways, that’s a really good thing, but I can understand how it cuts both ways.

i agree with the point that it can be used as marketing funds, but how you use the funds to market yourself or your art also matters imo. 

not saying that i consider my allowance as a marketing fund tho. for me it is simply THE best way i can support people i have always wanted to but never could(financially).
