if i had more time on hand i would look into the past week’s history of that user to see who engaged with them, but i don’t. i also don’t know how to haha. 

all to say i respond(like my brain absorbs info) better to stats and numbers over theory or assumptions of what went behind figuring out the top 100. if someone has already done this and i missed it, i’d love to check it out.

But Jesse does, DWR does, etc. EVERY single recipient yesterday has follows from those accounts. It's not even debatable tbh. 

If that's the system they chose, so be it, but "look, he has less than 1000 followers" isn't relevant when the REASON they were a recipient of the $5 reward was because of engagement FROM those OG accounts. 

You won't see a small account that doesn't have follows from them ever win this reward, unless the system is changed.

dan follows a lot of people so i’m sure there’s a big overlap there. 

also them following a user wont do much unless they also actively engage with those users bc that’s when it may actually help in giving a boost in the overall engagement to be amongst top casters 

lots of variables.

p.s. i was on the list yesterday, wasn’t today:) so you can drop off just as quickly as others cast more bangers

I’m not saying you only get it if these people follow you. I’m sure it helps though. Was just an obvious observation from the ones I’ve seen (so far). I’m sure you cast bangers
