enh maybe true for some/most but not all. v doesn't follow me and i was a recipient yesterday.

But Jesse does, DWR does, etc. EVERY single recipient yesterday has follows from those accounts. It's not even debatable tbh. 

If that's the system they chose, so be it, but "look, he has less than 1000 followers" isn't relevant when the REASON they were a recipient of the $5 reward was because of engagement FROM those OG accounts. 

You won't see a small account that doesn't have follows from them ever win this reward, unless the system is changed.

That sounds like something best done automated lol, and not up my alley either. 

Not sure I've seen anyone summarize it via numbers or anything. All I know is that the same with high Moxie rewards (engagement from the huge accounts), it's the same for these $5 rewards, at least in their current state. Perhaps it evolves into something after this experimentation phase where engagement from OG accounts isn't the main metric like most systems on here.

if i had more time on hand i would look into the past week’s history of that user to see who engaged with them, but i don’t. i also don’t know how to haha. 

all to say i respond(like my brain absorbs info) better to stats and numbers over theory or assumptions of what went behind figuring out the top 100. if someone has already done this and i missed it, i’d love to check it out.

Lol nah, get it out there! I'd be happier seeing a system where small accounts that don't have major follows can somehow get rewarded. 

@v's new boost system is closer, but still requires manual verification from him to decide on what is a "banger" or not.
