āsuccess is given, itās not earnedā i had a very similar conversation with a friend this morning, where i talked about being ātappedā by an important collector which then signals all the other collectors that an artist is worthy of their support. who you know + who you can get to know by smooth talking your way into cabals + luck = determines your success everyone works hard. not everyone succeeds the same. https://x.com/thepivot/status/1899592750137594033

(in general) you've got to do the work to earn the opportunity for it to be given. cf you make your own luck

yeah thatās where the working hard part comes into play. working hard - being good at what you do - not giving up - etc most could be doing all of that and still not succeed because they didnāt get seen by the right people to amplify their talent/skill/genius sorry idk what cf is short for? š

absolutely! and you increase your chances by taking as many shots as possible. it's a rough game though, lots of v talented people taking lots of shots. turns out idk what cf is short for either ššš just knew it meant cross reference. and here you go
