Realized after talking to fellow Farcastians yesterday, I don't think at any point I've actually mentioned on the TL what I do for my day job, but it's pretty simple: we make a chip that speeds up chip design simulations. It's called an emulator. Every company that makes chipsâwhich is now all of big techâuses emulation. Jensen Huang explains it better than I can in his Acquired interview: "The reason why we needed that emulator is because if you figure out how much money that we have, if we taped out a chip and we got it back from the fab and we started working on our software, by the time that we found all the bugs because we did the software, then we taped out the chip again. We wouldâve been out of business already." https://www.acquired.fm/episodes/jensen-huang

đ Donât tell me your age. Itâll hurt my ego. Lol. Iâll do a deep dive on Cadence today⌠might be useful from a talent mapping perspective. My talent competitors are NVIDIA and Anthropic. I actually have an offer out to someone considering my company vs NVIDIA.đ¤đ˝These fun articles make it hard.
