re: upcoming potential TikTok ban, rednote is a flash in the pan. creators will end up where viewers and $$ are: meta and YT. they’ll want platforms that are deep in western markets; rednote hasn’t invested at all in the US (changing UI to english doesn’t matter). this played out in 2020 with india’s ban.

I wish people understood this more. There’s more hate after his recent announcements. TT ate into his market share and seeing 170m of consumers flee to other apps should be proof enough. I’m glad Meta is going under FTC hearings next week and hope he has to sell Whatsapp or Instagram. Reap what you sow.
