thought experiment re @drakula with TikTok, users decide who wins (algo boosts based on video performance) and therefore which creators gets paid with Drakula, 8 people decide which creators get paid (unless i understand wrong) TikTok: more decentralized, maybe less pay Drakula: less decentralized, maybe more pay

not critiquing!! just observing! just asking content creators if they care more about $$ or decentralization to see if farcaster would surprise us. imo most creators care about $$ so this is the right approach creators only care about decentralization once they feel they’ve been censored and therefore get less $$

At Tiktok, not users but the 'algorithm' decides who gets paid. Of course creators only care about $$. Nothing wrong. Problem is that huge corps like Tiktok care ONLY about $$ after a certain time. Decentralization benefits will be apparent only when products like /drakula scale up.
