An observation from my detour to CT yesterday was they're still shilling BS numbers to pump their bags like it's 2017. No, it's 2023, crypto is a maturing, integral part of the global financial system, and it's about time we treated it as such. https://polynya.mirror.xyz/BR8SGLdB97fYbyzQU2FP_RrHjLlClgibMJyosL0orl4

I saw you writing before about Tron's leading the USDT numbers, but these numbers were surprising anyway. Tron is basically non-existent in the CT conversation (aside from Justin Sun's disciples), whereas Solana and Link are mentioned a lot. Do you think it's pumping bags, or do they have a shot at getting more txs?

> At first glance, you may assume that this is because Tron is cheaper, but [...] USDT transfers cost ~$1 on Tron nowadays, so it’s purely just network effects. Doesn't Tron give each account a few free transfers each day?

Tron has a USDT dependency & USDT will have all the incentives to launch their own chain eventually imo; perhaps even an L2 for the sequencer fee margin.

I agree with your perspective that the cryptocurrency industry is maturing. There should be more responsible and transparent data support to build investor confidence and sustainable industry growth. Overhype and inaccurate data will only harm the industry's long-term development.
