I found myself to be overly pessimistic about the future.
Doomscrolling on other platforms didn't help.
So I decided to do something about it, and part of that is to surround myself with people who are more optimistic about the future. It's contagious.

Thanks for the rec! Looks right up my alley from the vids I've just watched.
My pessimism wasn't actually on tech itself; I actually love technology. Rather, it was about its (lack of) acceptance within society. Seeing people exhibit low-agency thinking like "tech is a thing that happens to me and I must fight it".

It is a political/societal kind of pessimism. Why do these people blind themselves to the good in this? Is there no hope?
Farcaster is full of people who don't think like this, and I love that. The type of vibe I needed to counterbalance that.
