Why are apple products always much more expensive in Europe?

European price is displayed including VAT. In the US you have to add sales tax that varies depending on your state.

Not sure it can explain everything. 729ā‚¬ is about $800 and if it includes a 20% VAT (highest in France that has highest taxes in the world) then it'd be about $666. Still see a paradox in the end - margin at Apple is crazy so if they did not think they could sell massively at this price in Europe they'd at least lower a little bit the price.

The Mac mini in France is starting at 699ā‚¬ that includes 118ā‚¬ of VAT and other -> 581ā‚¬ for Apple (excluding import taxes)
