Maybe this is my capitalist brain kicking into overdrive, but the complaint about upsells on the McDonald’s kiosk is silly. The people who built that care. They care about their company doing well, which means selling products. Upsells work. Before there were kiosks, there were people at the counter asking if you’d like fries with that or if you wanted to supersize your meal.
