Interesting to think about digital music and streaming and compare it to the stated goals of web3. Streaming was supposed to cut out the middlemen, but instead it created a new revenue source for the middlemen who took control. Signs already pointing to the same being true for crypto/web3.

Ah I didn’t mean streaming specifically. I meant more of crypto companies acting as middlemen where p2p was the original idea. Coinbase is the largest example.

Say more about the latter? 

Is there an example of a successful rent-seeking streaming product in crypto? My read was that none of them had succeeded lol
