UUIDv4 is a terrible experience for user-facing IDs. Not clickable in URLs, way too long, foolish alphabet. Don't really care about the k-sortable stuff, but this library (based on v7) is much better. And I love fast food. https://github.com/jetify-com/typeid?tab=readme-ov-file

I'm firmly in the camp that unless I'm building some massive scalable product or something very important like bank apps then I'm going to use what is easiest and most common, not necessarily most efficient or best practice. I'm not smart enough to reinvent the wheel or be the one to shift the meta lol
