Go back? What do you mean? European infra is better than American, right now. The supposedly ancient cities of Europe seem newer than most American cities founded in the 19th century and still running on WWII-era infra. Just compare the Barcelona and NYC metros.

But I also like spending my time mostly writing and thinking. So Europe probably a better fit for me anyway.
