London and UK more broadly getting a lot of heat for various reasons atm. Despite all the noise, I'm long on London. Here are just some of the reasons: - International - Talent hub (top universities + companies) - Rich cultural scene - Great food from anywhere - Home of Arsenal FC - And because on a sunny day, there's no city more beautiful. Except Vienna.

True statements however culture is the biggest blocker long-term both looking back and moving forwards - Great piece from Tom Blomfield who started Monzo... https://x.com/t_blom/status/1844817864643277126

And because the sunny day happens so infrequently, you enjoy it 10x more ;) I think London continues to be great, but step foot anywhere outside of London, Manc, Edi, Cam, Ox and maybe a select few other places and you can really see and feel the damage straight away. Many towns and cities feel eerily empty and soulless. I think this might be the crux of the criticism
