@plo According to Jin Shi's report, on January 11th local time, Jack Smith, the special prosecutor in charge of the Trump case at the US Department of Justice, officially resigned from the department on January 10th. Jack Smith was appointed as a special prosecutor in November 2022 to investigate two cases involving US President elect Trump. According to court documents, the Department of Justice is in ongoing dispute with Trump's defense team regarding the release of an investigation report into his actions to prevent the transfer of presidential power after the 2020 election. It is reported that Smith has completed the relevant work and resigned from the position of special prosecutor. @itfine1010

@plo According to TheBlock, the US Department of Justice announced on Friday that Travis Ford, a 35 year old man from Oklahoma, has admitted to a charge of conspiracy to commit telecom fraud related to his role in running a "fraudulent" cryptocurrency investment company, as co-founder, CEO, and chief trader of WolfCapital CryptoTrading LLC (WolfCapital). The US Department of Justice stated that between January and August 2023, he attracted individuals to invest millions of dollars in the company through promotions, social media posts, and company websites. It is reported that Ford claimed a daily net return of approximately 1-2%, or 547% annually, and ultimately raised $9.4 million from around 2800 investors. The Department of Justice argues that Ford used false promises to induce individuals to invest in the company, and then used investors' funds to "benefit himself and his accomplices, harming the interests of investors". Due to this charge, he currently faces a maximum of five years in prison. @oft
