I gave myself 2 years to get to a paycheck. Everyone’s financial situation is different, but I live in the Bay Area and have a toddler

Would recommend South Park commons for community of builders! Have heard good things about ondeck etc too

But only if you have the energy. It’s tough navigating through the early parts of finding sth to work on

I empathize. Im in the same boat in NY. I was close to considering the same after getting laid off, but I don’t yet have the pull of anything specific to build yet and will likely jump into another 9-5
