Anyone ever notice the tendency for startups to ship a great initial product, then completely falloff the map? What goes wrong?

On a diff tack to the “too much capital corrodes” class of problems… …I wonder how many of these situations can simply be chalked up to “too much technical debt built up on the initial release,” & all subsequent features are disproportionately expensive to implement…& the whole show grinds to a halt.

Likely a silent killer, for sure. It’s what happens when the “just ship it” mentality goes unchecked
