I think a lot of that has to do with conceptions around ownership wrt “idea”. When I used to make music with a friend of mine we often got hung up on whose idea a melody or chord progression was. It was getting in the way of creating so we reframed it as “the idea that came through me”.

What was the "me" that was doing/creating this anyway?  Certainly now your actual me...just some language based process that's having a "me" experience within mind. And that "me" ain't really creating anything 🫠.
