I love thinking how each one of those trillions of tiny little micro-organisms (AND/OR) cells in a colony, is a complete, tincy little animal, evolutionarily crafted over eons of deep time, with its own autonomous drive to “get ahead” and thrive into the future.  Whatever that means for each little individual “nano-homie”. 🧫
