Beautiful essay (“newsletter” episode Adrienne. “Essay” holds more gravitas, despite the box Substack has everyone in) My mother made the “stay at home” choice too, pushing back on what had become by that time the modern norm for gen-x, & devoting herself to community service. Makes for a diff. childhood

For a while I just called it “my substack” but recently switched to calling it “my public journal”. Newsletter never felt right. Many paths to choose from, if someone gets meaning and fulfillment what more can we ever ask? 💜
