conductors β€” no, you can’t imagine the level on ignorance. but composers β€” yes. because they create things, not just repeat someone’s creation

Nice! Yeah, that sounds right, I reckon! Making β†’ 0..1 β†’ it's a particular kind of muscle - πŸ’ͺ and I think distinct one from those other forms of creative expression. But probably the same "kind of" intellectual muscle across domains, though. Languages, literature, dance, visual arts, music, symbolic creative manipulation. The style of moves you learn to pull probably starts to look pretty similar when you bust down through floor boards on each of these varied of disciplines. (Hey, Kate: do you reckon the variance of the four language you have in your mind, might also bubble up in enhanced musical expression capacity that you have but other performers with only one language, say, don't have access to? The way these things malleably cross-cut in the brain fascinates me).

well, i made a huge investigation on this topic bc it fascinates me too!! shortly put β€” like Glenn Gould and Bib Dylan used to say β€” every morning when i wake up i put on a new head!! with languages it’s the most accurate description. and music is my 5th one :)
