Ojai, CA feels like fertile ground for starting a cult

creating and destroying; built flying cars & autonomous vehicles, now building /faust, more here: /july, web: july.rocks

And then if we keep pushing the point...any startup (in the general) is somewhat cult-like, on a spectrum

If cult's are an inevitable phenomenon with humans organising around an idea, getting interested in what design patterns lead toward an "ethical cult" feels super interesting to me.

I think the diff is a cult is when any dissenting voices are not allowed, it's binary, you're either in or you're out. Hopefully startups are more open to feedback.
