I've never been one to build toy/side projects

I write ideas down, work through them in my head and do research but rarely actually build them

I focus my building time and most of my energy on my work projects
(My contract makes it harder to build side stuff anyway)

Any tips on how to get into building on the side?

what about your contract that makes it harder to build stuff on the side?

Incentives... what about your coworkers, are they also in the same boat: not playing with side projects?

Any intellectual property that can fall within the scope of the employer can be claimed by the employer even if the IP was developed on the employee's own time, equipment, etc.

Google does basically everything in tech so anything tech related can fall within their scope.

There are ways to request IP release though
