@ameliehua.eth What do you think? /opinion I find it quite contradictory. Maybe it's not just about complaints or criticisms. The thing is, crypto has always been quite detached from everyday society - it's inherently futuristic stuff. Trying to force ideals that might only be realized years from now into today's frameworks feels like a square peg in a round hole. I'm bringing this up because I keep seeing these "crypto versions" of various Web2 apps. They seem focused on current practical uses, but honestly, most of them are just shallow products without real substance. They slap "blockchain" on something existing without adding genuine value or solving real problems. So what's the way forward? Does progress happen gradually as solutions emerge and other complementary technologies mature alongside it? Or are we waiting for some genius design to suddenly drop from the sky that makes blockchain immediately applicable to real-world problems?

I think my complaint actually also applies to most apps, potentially most software too! I’ll think of a few examples, but one that quickly comes to mind is all the ToDo apps as a category. And a lot of DeFi which just an offering for founder self enrichment.
