The worst part about Austin isnât the heat or homelessness. Itâs how often youâll meet someone who seems cool and normal then discover theyâre top 1% in their MLM or shilling some late-stage-burning-man spirituality cult. Often both!

I seem to have a bad time with the homeless no matter where I go. Our office had an attempted break in. I was running from them a mile outside downtown on the East Side. I think more than where I live, itâs simply because I try to walk. đŹ I also have noticed what you observe about the grift. Itâs so depressing as someone trying to make new friends. It has given me insight anew on the phrase âyou donât have to be alone, to feel lonelyâ.

I think one of the gurus will eventually be revealed as something deeply sinister, too https://x.com/keccers/status/1812605113024070139
