It has been 3 days since @pichi cast... I agree that tipping rings - and any "money laundering with extra steps" - is not different from this new "token creation" on the degen chain. It is the end of degen moderation, right? Cashing the allowance out - is as good as tipping right now. Right? I can be mistaken - and happy to correct my misunderstanding. Until then, let's face reality: skipping the tipping is easy and a fair game now. Already farmers get 10-50x more degen from their allow, than I get using my allow for tipping quality casts and playing the long social game. With the "token creation," everyone can accumulate faster and stake more degen for more allow, while still profiting a lot. Slowly, the farmers can take over the poll. So now I divide my allow. 50% still for tipping the great casts, 50% for token accumulation. That way I can also buy more allow later. Or exit, if the FC/tipping will be deprioritized even more. I'm a writer. I want degen to succeed, but FC and tipping are important to me.

I already can’t keep up with the staking games and watch my allowance go down daily. By the next claim you’ll need 2M for mac allowance and it will only further incentivize this.

I have mixed feelings about all of this degen chain @jacek efforts. On the one hand, compared to moxie and other tokens, the degen price is going nicely up, at least when the BTC is up... So they must do some things right. I also understand that degen interest is not always FC interest. On the other hand... I was like 5 years on Steemit, and later Hive, when the team decided to prioritize Hive tokens experiments over socials. When was it the last time anybody heard about them? I think @standpoint.eth got that idea of openly allowing everyone to set up how much allow they want to tip and how much of the allow they want to accumulate as yield. That would be fair and clear. Then we can make a social hierarchy according to willingness to tip - if you take 90% as cash-out, it is OK, but do not expect to be a community favorite... You allow connected to social rank will also crash. Your choice!
