Hey foundooors, need some advice. I have an opportunity to be in a consignment store near me. Rent is $200/mo at a 3mo contract. The problem with other retailers is that candles are so saturated, so unless Iโ€™m first in the shop, most consignment stores will not accept me. It is in a semi popular mall but Iโ€™m uncertain of the food traffic and if itโ€™s the right demographic because itโ€™s mostly upper/middle class/young professionals/families. I do feel the urge to physically get in front of customers though to work on my messaging, but the alternative is that I just booth at craft markets (each craft market is around $150-200 a day anyways). What questions should I ask the owner to make sure itโ€™s the right fit?

I know you've probably considered this but I've bought countless candles from friends I've met here online. Is it possible to spin up a frame and pay in degen tips? I'm sure many of us would buy in support around these holidays etc. This wouldn't be in place of your consignment deal here but a supplement. Please let me know how to purchase regardless. I'm a candle buyer ๐Ÿ”ฅ

I launched a degen frame actually in May/June but it had very low traction (maybe 2-3 sales). My theory is that the people who actually want candles prefer to pay in USDC/eth and are actually bigger buyers - like 2/3/4 candles at a time, so that exceeds the daily tip. The other problem is the volatility of the token and also verifying that the tip has gone through. I have taken tips for degen but charge 250%+ because the volatility, and waiting for the airdrop isnโ€™t good cash flow. I am happy to take a tip from you at 250% in degen since I trust you. I hope you understand my reasoning! If not, you are always welcome to pay in eth/USDC at the regular price. And thank you for asking.

Awesome! I know itโ€™s extra steps and takes more time, but Iโ€™d love to throw my tips at some physical products!

Okay, follow up question. Would you be willing to pay the 250% surcharge if you paid with degen tips? If not, what surcharge % would you be comfortable with? Or you wouldnโ€™t be comfortable at all? My second question is, since I trust you, Iโ€™m happy to take your degen tips anyways. Saves me a lot of headache with the frame (2 weeks of work + $500 to develop it). What is meaningful to you about tipping thru frame vs. tipping by casting?
