sports photographers always capture athletes in action out on the track

but rarely do you see the behind the scenes

i always would bring my camera to competitions and take photos of my teammates some planned, some candid 

of course i got in trouble for this from staff who said “i’m being unprofessional and i need to focus on my competition” 

but im so glad i did it 

one of my goals has always been to take photos behind the scenes at the olympics !!

i think i might mint some of my fave photos as a series 🤔

That makes this story even better! I didn’t think about them not having any photos. When I travel alone, I only have selfies and I’m so thankful when strangers take the time to take a photo for me. You probably made such a big impact for them and I bet their friends and family are so thankful!!!

also alot of athletes ended up with no professional photos cos the photographers often only capture the winners 

so for some this would have be the only memory of the championships!
