Building a sustainable business today that works bootstrapped or with outside funding means being profitable from day one. Weβre no longer at a point in time where you can fuck around on somebody elseβs dime. Revenue is not an after thought. Capital is oxygen to stay alive. WDYT?

Hard agree. Fundamentals are more important than ever. The narrative of pricing a VC on something on the back of a napkin and walking away with a $10M check is now the stuff of myths. Capital is expensive at the moment.

Yeah, 2.75% inflation, 8% debasement, interest rates avg 7.5% - the normal 1/10 goes moon model doesnβt work with 2% mgmt fee and 20% of exit anymore - building on VC today increasing feels like a loosing value prop Just a hedonistic treadmill where you get more and more diluted as you run faster and faster
