It’s been a good week for collecting Goshuin.  I know lots of temples now that let their art flow and I’m here for it.

They had maybe 30 designs? It was amazing. I would love to hang out with them all day and design them. They had so many stamped and ink pads and colors. I was in heaven.

This goshuin is so cute it really made me feel happy just looking at it.

Goshuin (御朱印) is a special kind of seal/ stamp that you can receive at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples across Japan. 

A monk or shrine attendant will handwrite the name of the shrine/temple, the date of your visit, and sometimes a short blessing or phrase.

Some are very simple and others quite colorful and elaborate.
