It’s been a good week for collecting Goshuin. I know lots of temples now that let their art flow and I’m here for it.

Goshuin (御朱印) is a special kind of seal/ stamp that you can receive at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples across Japan. A monk or shrine attendant will handwrite the name of the shrine/temple, the date of your visit, and sometimes a short blessing or phrase. Some are very simple and others quite colorful and elaborate.
