 Most Japanese sports anime is about the long game: friendship, team work, realizing that winning isn’t everything, and watching out main characters grow slowly. Blue Lock is none of that. It’s about winner take all, being the best, and the action hooks you from episode one, which is rare these days! Now that season 2 is airing, I think it’s time to give this a shot! Even if you aren’t a huge soccer fan, you’ll love watching one crazy guy try to change Japanese soccer into a world contender and you won’t be disappointed!

The animation isn’t as great as last season honestly and they’re relying on a lot of stop and think character moments instead of animating things out, but I think it’ll get better as we see more gameplay

But there's so much talk about this current season 2 airing atm
People saying that the animation is so poor. I've noticed it just a little 😔but it hurts to see people talk down on something I love so much

I really hate watching things week to week and I try to save it all up to watch it all at once, but I really wanted to watch what the Internet was talking about and broke down and started watching it.

Exactly. I have watched many sports anime and am quite a fan of those but none of them showed this kinda rivalry to become top player eliminating one’s competition friend or foe alike. Love the anime. Did not have the courage to start season 2 which is still not finished. Will watch it once all the episodes are out

Haikyu is also fantastic. I was really lucky to get to see the movie last time. I was here in theaters with English subtitles.

I love a good sports anime, and I can honestly talk a big game about almost any sport because of Anime. I’ll tell you a funny story about ending up at a very high-level boxing match in Las Vegas on accident because someone asked me to come and they had extra tickets and I was able to hold my own talking about all of the boxers and their strategy and the type of boxing they did and it was 100,000% because of Hanime  no Ippo. When I said that one of the guys wasn’t going to do well because he was an in boxer and this fight didn’t match his style I got so many cool points.

Blue Lock delivers intense soccer action, with thrilling character development and high-stakes competition.

I don’t love soccer IRL but after Ted Lasso and a bunch of soccer anime, I now watch the World Cup ;)
