The FOMC meets tonight to decide on interest rates, with forecasts pointing to a 25 BPS cut. This seems reasonable, as a 50 BPS cut would be too aggressive, especially with recent PPI data showing inflation is still a concern. A higher cut could risk reigniting inflation.
