How are casts into channels distributed nowadays? Who sees them? Context is I have a couple friends that have joined and am wondering if/when i should tell them to post in channels or their timeline. For example, questions about /frames-v2, /los-angeles takes, snippets for /dev.

The reason I tell new people to cast into channels: 1. Mostly your followers see your casts. You don’t have many when new. Better chances someone scrolls the channel (if it’s a small good community) and sees you that way. 2. You can’t get a spam label casting and replying into channels. New people get spam labels very easily.
